Questions buyers ask.
Short answers to what every team asks before a demo. If yours is missing, ask us and we will answer in person.
- Does it run on our own server?
- Yes. It runs on a Linux server you own, physical or virtual. There is no cloud version.
- Which devices does it support?
- Anything that answers ping, SNMP or syslog. Ready-made SNMP templates cover Cisco, MikroTik, Aruba, UniFi, Meraki, Linux, Windows, VMware ESXi, Synology, UPS and PDU units and environment sensors, and you can add your own. Config backups also cover Juniper and Huawei.
- Can it see inside HTTPS traffic?
- No. Encrypted content stays encrypted. Network Tool shows who talked to whom, how much and on which port, and reads the full request only for plain HTTP.
- Do we need an agent on every machine?
- No. Devices are watched over standard protocols. The only agent is the optional one for Kubernetes nodes.
- How big a network can it handle?
- It is designed for company networks up to the size of a /16 on one server. Branch offices can run remote probes that report to the centre.
- Where is our data stored?
- In a PostgreSQL database on your server. Logs, metrics and the audit log have retention periods you can change.
- Can it run beside the tool we already use?
- Yes. A device can send SNMP traps, syslog and NetFlow to more than one destination, so you can compare them side by side.
- Can we add our own language and logo?
- Yes. The interface comes in six languages, including English and Turkish, and an administrator can set your company name and logo in a few clicks.
